Emergency medicine

Bay Area Medical Center, a rural community hospital located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Marinette, Wis., with a large service area in Wisconsin and in bordering Upper Michigan is currently seeking an emergency medicine physician. Located 45 minutes from Green Bay, this area is a popular resort destination for golfing, hunting, boating, fishing and snowmobiling.

BAMC has 99 inpatient beds, enjoys an excellent payer mix and has a mixed acuity of patients. In patient satisfaction surveys, BAMC consistently ranks in the top 3 percent of hospitals. A hospitalist program has been in place since 2000.

The emergency department's annual volume is 22,500 and is staffed with single-physician coverage in 8-and 9-hour shifts. The medical director of emergency medicine is also the chief of medical staff at BAMC. Infinity HealthCare has been providing emergency care since 1999.
