ScreeningsFree Mammograms
The Bay Area Oncology Fund, recognizing the increased number of women without insurance, has dedicated $10,000 to support the free breast cancer screening program this year. In addition, the screening program will be available for the entire year for women who qualify. The program is open to women who live in Marinette and Menominee counties and have no health insurance. Women between the ages of 35-40 who qualify for the program are eligible for one free mammogram. Women who are 40-50 years old who qualify for the program are able to have one free mammogram every other year. Women over age 50 who qualify for the program are eligible for a free mammogram every year. Over the past eleven years, over 2,500 local women have received free mammograms through this program.
