Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
 Bay Area Medical Center offers five fully equipped labor and delivery suites, complete with rocking chairs, oak cabinets and various accessories that are reminiscent of home. Single-room maternity care is just part of the family-centered mother and baby care that BAMC offers. With a 14-bed OB-GYN unit, specially trained staff, and the latest high-tech equipment and comfort medication, Bay Area Medical Center has all the elements needed for a safe delivery.
BAMC also invites new moms and their babies to spend an extra night relaxing at "The Cuddle Inn," an extended stay program in which meals, education and nursing services all are provided for an additional 24 hours beyond what insurance programs normally cover for routine deliveries. The extended stay program cost is just $25.
For the expectant parents, an 8-week prenatal program provides instruction on nutrition, labor, delivery, breastfeeding, baby care, sibling preparation and cesarean section. Classes take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Thursday in the Michigan - Superior Classrooms of Bay Area Medical Center - Marinette.

Hours of Operation
Bay Area Medical Center’s OB Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Visiting hours for this department 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Fathers of newborns are welcome any time.
