Prostate Screening

Prostate ScreeningThe annual Prostate Cancer Screening sponsored by the Bay Area Oncology Fund and Bay Area Medical Center is held every fall.

For only five dollars, participants will receive a two-part screening consisting of a PSA blood test and a physical exam. Screening eligibility for men is as follows:

  • Over the age of 50 who have not had a prostate exam in the last year.
  • Not presently followed by a physician for prostate problems.
  • Residents of Marinette and Menominee Counties.

Pre-registration is required for both sections of the Prostate Screening. The first part of the screen is a PSA blood test, with appointments available in the weeks before the screening. The second part of the screen is a physical exam held on Saturday, October 3rd, appointments for this date will be scheduled at the time of PSA blood draw.

Both appointments for the PSA and the screening will be held at Bay Area Medical Center, 3100 Shore Drive. Prostate Cancer is the most treatable in the early stages; this makes early detection the best weapon. Pre-registration is required. Call 715.735.4200 ext. 4439.
