Calcium Scoring
This test is a proven assessment to identify your risk for heart disease. For too many Americans, the first and only sign of heart disease is a fatal heart attack. A cardiac calcium scoring exam determines the amount of calcium build-up in the coronary arteries of your heart. The amount of calcium present is related to your risk for a heart attack. The screening is done at BAMC and is simple, painless and your completed exam and results consultation will be done in less than 1 hour.
Vascular Screening
Vascular disease is a general term for a group of problems that affect your blood vessels. People who have vascular disease may have health problems including stroke, aneurysm, and peripheral artery disease (PAD). Results are given the same day and the whole screening takes about 30 minutes. The screening is painless and requires nothing more than removing your shoes and socks. Receive your test results immediately.
Mammogram
Breast cancer affects a woman’s mind, body and spirit. Give yourself or someone you love the gift of good health this year. Now available all year round! With digital mammograms, same day results, and nurse navigators to provide education, insight, and advice, Bay Area Medical Center provides a superior experience.
Prostate Screening
Prostate Cancer is the most treatable in the early stages; this makes early detection the best weapon. For only five dollars, participants will receive a two-part screening consisting of a PSA blood test and a physical exam.
Cardiac Screening
Do you know your heart’s health? Come to the free Cardiac screening held at Bay Area Medical Center. You will receive your results instantly. Risk factor counseling is provided by certified healthcare professionals. All blood sugar and cholesterol tests require a 10-hour pre-screen fasting prior to a scheduled appointment, so please plan accordingly.
Incontinence Screening
It is estimated that as many as one in four women may experience urinary incontinence at some time in their lives. However, most women go untreated or take years to report it to their health care provider. Many women see urinary incontinence as a normal sign of aging. Our quest is to educate the public and empower women to gain control over their symptoms and improve the quality of their lives.
