In 1992, Bay Area Medical Center recognized the need to offer the very best cancer care close to home and under one roof. Whether your cancer is treated with radiation, chemotherapy or a combination of both approaches, our clinic makes treatment more convenient for patients and their families.
We are honored and proud to be able to service our friends, neighbors and members of the community living with cancer, by providing superior cancer care treatment that focuses on compassion, respect, and the needs of each patient.
Team-centered multidisciplinary approach
At Bay Area Medical Center, board-certified medical and radiation oncologists work side by side to determine the best, most comprehensive plan of care for their patients.
Our highly qualified team that includes oncology/hematology board-certified oncologists, experienced and oncology certified registered nurses, a certified medical dosimetrist, physicists, radiation therapists, and clinic support staff are here locally, five days a week, to provide all of your medical and radiation oncology needs. In addition, Bay Area Medical Center participates in the latest clinical trials for the treatment of a variety of cancers.
Our care team also extends to our medical professionals at Bay Area Medical Center who provide medical and surgical care, high-end diagnostic imaging, pastoral care, social services, and dietary counseling. Patients who require hospitalization stay in an oncology wing that is staffed by certified registered nurses, with 24 hour care managed by our own oncologists. Each step of the way, our patients receive optimal care from professionals who truly understand the journey that our patients and their families are experiencing.
Bay Area Cancer Care Center offers a comfortable and healing environment. Rooms are furnished with some of the comforts of home with soothing colors and textures, and plenty of natural light. The cancer center features paintings and photography from local artists that promote serenity and inspiration. A local massage therapist is available to offer customized therapeutic care to help calm and comfort our patients. Our caregivers recognize that cancer is not like any other disease. They understand the life changes that occur when a patient first hears the words "you have cancer". The Bay Area Cancer Care Center team has committed, experienced staff that create a warm, friendly, and encouraging place to heal the body, mind, and spirit.
