The computed tomography (CT) scan department consists of 5 staff members who are registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the state of Wisconsin. Staff also have achieved advanced registry in CT or are eligible for the registry.
Our CT machine, a Toshiba 320-slice unit, offers the latest technology, and studies are completed with very fast exam times, producing exceptional image quality. This unit is equipped with dose-reduction software, lowering patient radiation dose. The unit undergoes an annual state physicist inspection to ensure compliance with regulations.
Exams performed include coronary angiography and angiography of major vessels, which are less invasive than conventional angiography. Studies of the head, chest, abdomen/pelvis, and lower and upper extremities are also performed.
