General radiology is staffed by 10 technologists with over 112 years of cumulative service. All technologists are registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the state of Wisconsin.
Equipment used for imaging is computerized radiography, where images are captured and viewed on a computer monitor by physicians. All images are stored in a computer database and are readily available for viewing. Equipment undergoes an annual state physicist inspection to ensure compliance with regulations.
General radiology staff covers all areas of the hospital, including outpatient, inpatient, emergency room and surgery.
Studies performed include fluoroscopy exams, which are real-time images; contrast injected studies of joints and the spine; gastrointestinal and urinary tract; reproductive organs; and general skeletal images.
