Statement of care

As an Athletic Trainer and a Marine, I am very passionate in preventing, treating, rehabilitating, and strengthening injured and uninjured athletes. Through my experience, I have learned every injury is unique in its mechanism thus requires an individual and personalized care plan in order to effectively heal and/or correct potential musculoskeletal imbalances. Working with an effective medical team as well as consistent availability, communication transparency, and conservative modality treatments; my team has been able to reduce injuries and time athletes have been out of play. It has been a real pleasure and privilege to work with athlete's both novice and experienced. My treatment style involves hands-on, manual therapy for purposes of evaluating or diagnosing and personally led exercises for increasing power, speed, endurance, strength, agility, and mobility.

Curriculum vitae

Statement of care

I have been working for Bay Area Medical Center and covering Marinette High School since 2012. I am at the High School Monday through Friday from 2-7 for daily athletic training room and event coverage. I will also see athletes at the middle school as needed. I work closely with our school staff in the implementation of our return to learn guidelines after a student sustains a head injury. Communication with the student athlete, parents and school staff is a very important job of the Athletic Trainer.

Working with high school athletes is a unique opportunity to work with not only injured athletes but also working with preventing injuries for healthy athletes. It's very rewarding to see an athlete that has suffered an injury work to get back to full strength and return to the game.
