The Women's Health Center offers several programs to assist women who are dealing with incontinence. Incontinence is loss of bladder control, which can range from a mild leak to uncontrollable wetting. Most bladder problems develop when the muscles are too weak or when they are overactive. Incontinence can occur when sneezing, coughing, laughing or lifting an object. Incontinence can also be a symptom of nerve damage. Get your incontinence screening done today!

Urodynamic testing

Urodynamic testing is a study to see how the bladder is performing. Conclusions from the test can indicate if the bladder and urethra are releasing urine correctly and storing urine effectively.

Physical therapy

Physical therapy involves a series of exercises prescribed by an incontinence specialist to strengthen the bladder sphincter muscle. Bay Area Medical Center (BAMC) provides 2 physical therapy specialists.

Uterine suspension procedures
